Cairo Captures Georgia AAA Crown

Ahh....victory is sweet for the Cairo Syrupmakers, who captured Georgia's AAA title Saturday beating Flowery Branch 28-14 at the Georgia Dome. Last year, Cairo lost in the championship game when Columbus-Carver scored a touchdown in the last minute of the game. Click here for game story.

Wesleyan Stops ECI's Run For Back-to-Back Georgia Titles

Emanuel County Institute's star running back Washaun Ealey couldn't close out his career with a second straight Georgia A high school football championship. Wesleyan held the Georgia recruit and the state's all-time touchdown leader to just 90-yards on its way to a 33-21 win for the state's A title Saturday at the Georgia Dome. Click here for game story.

Tucker Wins First-Ever Georgia High School Football Title

The High School Football Huddle
Tucker's first Georgia high school football championship was a sweet one for the team. On September 26th, the Tigers were beaten soundly by Marist 36-0. On Friday December 12th, Tucker turned the tables and beat the War Eagles 15-3 for the AAAA title. Click here for game story.

One week after knocking defending AAAAA champ Lowndes from the state tournament and national rankings, Grayson is on the outside looking in. Peachtree Ridge knocked off the Rams 13-10 in double overtime to advance to its second state title game in three years. Peachtree Ridge is now 12-2 after starting the season with two straight losses. Grayson In, Lowndes Out of USA Today Super 25

Center Grove (IN), Maine South (IL) and Muskegon (MI) all won state championships last weekend, and in addition to the shiny trophies, all three are in the new USA Today Super 25 released on Tuesday. Joining that trio is Grayson (GA), which hops into the rankings at #14 after taking down defending Georgia champ and former #4 Lowndes in the GHSA quarterfinals on Friday.
