Friday night's Class AAAA battle between defending champ Tucker and Southwest DeKalb really wasnt' a battle after all. SW DeKalb took it to the champs in a 26-0 victory. Now on back-to-back weeks, the Panthers have been the 2008 champ and runner-up (Marist).

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that SW DeKalb's defense shutdown Tucker's high power running game. Tucker came in averaging 260 yards a game. Friday night, the DeKalb "D" only allowed the Tigers 95 yards on the ground.
